# Terms of use Last updated 24 October 2026 These terms cover the website bingsustudio.com, its docs and the downloads on it. The Bingsu app itself is covered by its license. ## The app is free software Bingsu is licensed under the [GNU General Public License, version 3](https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-3.0.html). You may use it for anything, including at work, and you may study, change and share it. If you share a changed version, you must share its source under the same license. Where these terms and the license differ, the license wins. Because of that, there is no separate acceptable use policy for the app: the GPL doesn't let us add one. ## No warranty As the GPL says, Bingsu comes with no warranty, to the extent the law allows. The app checks every file it saves, but keep copies of anything you can't afford to lose. ## Your recordings We never receive your recordings or share pages, and we claim no rights in them. You are responsible for what you record and publish. That includes: - having the consent of people who appear or are heard in a recording, where the law requires it; - the rights to anything you record, such as other people's work on your screen; - what your AI agents record and publish when you allow them to. ## Downloads Download Bingsu from this site, GitHub or Homebrew. Each release lists its SHA-256 checksum and is signed. The [download page](/download/#verify) shows how to check both. We can't vouch for copies from anywhere else. ## Names and marks The GPL covers the code, not our name. "Bingsu", "BingsuStudio", the app icon and the Bingsu characters are ours. You can use them to refer to the app. A changed version you distribute needs its own name and icon, so people can tell the two apart. See [brand assets](/brand/). Mac, Windows and Linux are trademarks of their owners, named here only to say where Bingsu runs. ## Using the website Read it, link to it and copy the docs into your tools and agents. Don't try to break it, overload it or get around its protections. To report a security problem, see [security](/security/). ## Liability To the extent the law allows, BingsuStudio is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost recordings or data, arising from the website or the app. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by contract. ## Changes When these terms change, the date at the top changes too. Every earlier version stays in the site's public history on GitHub. ## Contact Questions: hello@bingsustudio.com.
